Local Area

Nestled in the heart of Shakespeare country Lapworth is 9 miles from historic Warwick, 13 miles from Stratford Upon Avon and less than 5 miles from the NEC. There is a local railway station with links to London and Birmingham.

The motorway network with access North, South and Southwest is a few miles away.

Within the local area there is biking, boating, a childrens playground, cinema, fishing, golf, gym, hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, and a short distance away a night club, restaurant, shopping, tennis, theatre and water sports. Three cycles are available for use and a limited amount of fishing tackle.

Although not a twee, picturesque village of the type normally associated with Warwickshire, the village does boast some fine old houses, including two National Trust properties, Packwood House and Baddesley Clinton.

The Lapworth flight of locks drops the canal down from the Birmingham plateau level. After working a boat through the flight the thirsty boater would be missing a treat if they didn't explore the local pubs
